The Kerry Blue Terrier is part of the long-legged Irish Terrier family. It is a medium size dog but muscular. It has a wavy coat that is usually blue gray hence the name. It can grow to a height of 20 inches and weigh up to 40 pounds.

The Kerry Blue Terrier is very active and alert. It shouldn't really be kept with small animals. This breed requires an experienced owner that is active and can give the Kerry Blue Terrier the special attention it needs.
