The American Eskimo, often referred to as the "Eskie" can be found in white or white & cream with brown eyes with a compact body. These dogs look like a smaller version of the Samoyed and come in three varieties: toy, miniature and standard. The Eskie has a beautiful snowy white coat which creates a ruff or mane around the neck, especially in males. They thrive on being part of the human family.

American Eskimos are companion dogs that are intelligent, well-socialized, affectionate and loving. They are great with children and are easy to train. This breed can behave like puppies up until the age of two. They make excellent watchdogs to announce the presence of strangers.
