The Pekingese originally in China and was originally a breed only owned by nobility. The Pekingese is a small dog that has a long flat outercoat of fur. It can be a variety of colors such as white, black, or tan.

The Pekingese can grow up to 9 inches high and weigh between 8 to 14 pounds. It's a dignified dog and isn't always friendly. It doesn't require a large amount of activity.
